The ‘real’ Jane Taylor revealed: 25 shocking facts about me.
All about Jane.
Whilst rummaging through my filing cabinet the other day, I came across the ‘How well do you know Jane?’ quiz we played at my 40th birthday bash *mumbles* years ago.
At the risk of scaring you all off, never to return again, I thought I’d share it with you.
The ‘How well do you know Jane Taylor?’ Quiz.
1. Jane spent some of her adult life believing that:
a) Skegness was in Scotland.
b) Nottingham Forest was a National Park.
c) Milton Keynes was a poet.
The answer is A. Like Loch Ness, I really did think ‘Skeg-Ness’ was in Scotland. The good folk of the Midlands quickly put me right!
2. When Jane goes on holiday what item from home can’t she be without (apart from Richard and the girls, obviously)?
a) Moist toilet wipes (the toilet paper might not be up to scratch).
b) Bathroom scales (to keep an eye on her holiday indulgences).
c) Hair straighteners (a girl always needs to look her best).
The answer is C. *blushes*
3. What did Jane unwittingly carry with her on a flight to New York that prompted an alert involving a sniffer dog and an armed US marshall?
a) A bag of white powder.
b) A Granny Smith apple.
c) A knife and fork.
The answer is B. I completely forgot I’d packed a Granny Smith apple as a snack for the trip. The US Marshall took it VERY seriously: it is forbidden to bring ‘alien fruit’ into the USA, (however, it’s completely acceptable to have an ‘alien fruitcake’ running for president). I must admit, I freaked out when the dog started sniffing around my bag, panicking that someone had sneaked 2kg of heroin into my luggage. I could practically hear them snapping on the rubber gloves in the holding cell nearby. Thankfully, they let me off, without the need for a strip search.
4. What is Jane’s favourite film?
a) 9 to 5.
b) The Color Purple.
c) Naked Gun 2 ½.
The answer was B then. I absolutely love Steven Spielberg’s lesser-known masterpiece, starring Whoopi Goldberg and Danny Glover. However, this has been superseded by ‘The Help’, based on the book by Kathryn Stockett. I loved this story about black maids (‘The Helps’) raising the children of middle-class whites in the deep south of the United States of America. The humour made me laugh out loud and the racism shocked me, particularly as it’s set in the not too distant past.
5. What is the one thing that Jane refuses to cook for Richard for breakfast?
b) Full English Breakfast.
c) Poached eggs.
The answer is C. I hate poached eggs! It’s that phlegmy, jellified white bit I can’t abide. I love Mr T, but for years I couldn’t bring myself to cook them for him. I have relented in recent years…The sacrificial love of a wife.
6. Which of these acts hasn’t Jane seen in concert?
a) Celine Dion.
b) Michael Bolton.
c) The Bee Gees.
At the risk of outing myself as totally uncool, (if that isn’t already clear), the answer is C. I’ve seen Celine Dion three times and Michael Bolton once. As I recall, Michael Bolton didn’t enjoy performing for us in Birmingham, because women kept shouting for him to take his jacket off. It wasn’t me!
PLEASE NOTE: I haven’t listened to Celine or Michael Bolton for years…
7. Who is Jane’s favourite female singer?
a) Dolly Parton.
At the risk of further cementing my uncoolness, it’s A. I absolutely love Dolly Parton! I saw her in Nottingham a few years ago after being a fan for years and she’s still got it. She’s written hundreds of songs, she’s a super-successful business woman and I just love her music: ‘I will always love you’ (yep, she wrote Whitney’s song); ‘Smokey Mountain Memories’; Coat of Many Colours. I love country music full stop!
8. Where was Jane during Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s Wedding in July 1981?
a) In St Paul’s Cathedral.
b) In Texas.
c) In hospital.
The answer is B. We lived in Rockport, Texas (on the Gulf of Mexico) for a year in 1980-81. My dad was working for an oil company at the time. It was an amazing adventure and I can vividly remember catching the yellow school bus, celebrating Halloween ‘USA style’ and celebrating Thanksgiving and the 4th of July. I also remember the food! What I wouldn’t give for a plate of Ron’s Krispy Fried Chicken (see Sisterhood of the World Bloggers for more juicy details).
9. Which of the following revelations about Jane is true:
a) She was a member of the ‘Beauty and the Beast Fan club’ (US TV Series in the late 1980’s).
b) She has attended two Xena Warrior Princess Conventions.
c) She once wrote to Celine Dion to tell her how much she enjoyed her concert.
Okay. This is where I’m going to have to beg you to stick with me, for better or for worse. The answer is A, B and C! I’m just going to leave it there…
10. What had to move out of the bedroom whilst Jane was pregnant with Beth because it ‘smelled funny and made her feel sick’?
a) A plant.
c) The bedroom door.
The answer is C, the bedroom door! We’d recently painted it with white gloss and it smelled disgusting to me. Richard didn’t know what I was talking about because he couldn’t smell it at all. Initially, to appease me, he painted over it with an odourless water-soluble satin paint. Things were fine for a few days, but then the smell of the old paint started to ‘leach’ out. When I couldn’t stand it any longer, Richard removed the door completely until after I’d had Beth and my sense of smell returned to normal.
11. When Jane was a teenager what did she sometimes wear in bed?
a) A body warmer.
b) Men’s garish Hawaiian shorts with palm trees on.
c) Long Johns.
The answer is B. What can I say? They used to be my dad’s but they were too small for him. I wore them because I’ve never liked nighties or long pyjamas, preferring shorts. They had an elasticated waistband and were really comfy. I’m not selling it to you, am I?
12. What is Jane’s ‘party trick’?
a) Doing ‘the splits’.
b) Burping the alphabet.
c) Doing something weird with her fingers.
The answer is C. I can bend the top joints, near my nails, whilst keeping the knuckle joints straight.
13. What is Jane’s least favourite part of her body?
The answer is A. I shouldn’t grumble. I’m fairly happy with my lot. However, I really don’t like my knees! They aren’t ‘proper’ knees. I’d even prefer nobbly knees. Mine are a bit fleshy and sunken. I blame mum’s side of the family…Sorry mum!
14. Which of these disciplines does Jane have a gold medal in:
a) Disco dancing.
The answer is A! What’s more, it stayed on my CV for YEARS! I went to Miss Janet’s School of Dance in Hartburn, Stockton-on-Tees for years, like most of the girls in our village. I remember wearing a shocking pink sequined ‘boob tube’ and shiny skin-tight trousers for the big day. To be honest, I think dressing in that outfit made me a ‘shoo-in’ for the medal anyway, even though the trousers were so tight it was hard to bend my knees during my ‘performance.’
15. Which of the following happened to Jane when she was a teenager?
a) She was thrown out of a cinema.
b) She was the Cleveland inter-school cross-country champion of 1987.
c) She won a music scholarship but had to turn it down.
The answer is A! I blame Anne-marie Malcolm (If you are reading this Anne-marie, I’m sorry for breaking my silence). She put chewy (chewing gum to Southerners) on the seat in front and a girl got it stuck in her long blonde hair. Her friends told the manager and we were thrown out. Well, Anne-marie was asked to leave, but we left with her, (albeit begrudgingly because it was a good film).
As for B, I can’t run to save my life. I bounce up and down rather than move forward.
As for C, I’m really not very musical. I can just about manage ‘I am sailing’ and ‘London’s burning’ on the recorder.
16. Which of the following would be in Jane’s Room 101, i.e. ‘pet hates’.
a) Cubes in food.
b) Waterproof plasters.
c) Salad cream.
You may recall some of my other Room 101’s from an earlier post (5 things that belong in my Room 101). The answer to this particular question is A…and probably C. I’m convinced salad cream is something you grow out of when you reach adulthood….Around about the time when you decide you like Marmite after all. We had salad cream when I was little and I liked it. Then I discovered Mayonnaise and I can’t bring myself to have salad cream now. I think the snotty gunk you get around the lid of a used bottle of salad cream is another reason I’ve moved on.
17. Which of the following would Jane refuse to eat?
a) Black pudding.
The answer is B. I tried whelks (sea snails) when I was a kid. It was like chewing on someone’s nose, cartilage and all.
18. Jane used to own a pair of roller blades. When Richard saw Jane in the distance on her roller blades what was his first comment to Jane?
a) You look like a natural! When did you learn to skate so well?
b) I thought you were an old lady with arthritis hobbling down the street.
c) Why didn’t you buy me some as well?
The answer is B. The cheek! He’s right, though. I’m not a very elegant rollerblader.
19. Jane loves fish, chips and gravy but it will come as no surprise that she has particular requirements (No wonder Richard calls her Goldilocks). If she has her fish and chips in a tray, does she have the gravy:
a) Poured over her fish and chips
b) Poured over the chips but never on the fish.
c) In a separate container so she can choose exactly where she puts it or can just dip her chips in if she so desires.
That would be C. Particular? Moi?
20. Although Jane is always very grateful when someone makes her a cup of coffee, what is the cardinal sin of coffee-making?
a) Adding coffee, then milk, then boiling water from the kettle (it never tastes the same!)
b) Adding coffee, then boiling water from the kettle, then milk (don’t scorch the grains!)
c) Supermarket brands – she can always taste the difference.
The answer is B! NEVER scorch the grains! I’ve since moved on to filter coffee.
21. When Richard cut his thumb badly with a chisel whilst doing a spot of DIY, he asked Jane (a pharmacist) to help staunch the flow of blood. Did she:
a) Run to his rescue and tend to the wound expertly in textbook fashion.
b) Tell him not to show her because it would make her feel faint and instruct him to run across to a neighbour because she was a nurse.
c) Tell him not to bleed on the new dining room carpet
The answer is B. I’m very squeamish. I don’t like the sight of blood. I even feel faint when people talk about blood and wounds. When I used to read medical journals, I had to put Post-It notes over all the bloody and gruesome pictures first.
22. What was the first music act Jane went to see in concert?
a) Duran Duran.
b) Nick Kershaw.
The answer is C. I loved T’Pau. Carol Decker was ace! You can’t beat a bit of ‘China in our Hand.’
23. What was the first album Jane bought?
a) Abba – The Visitors.
b) Grease Soundtrack (the Pickwick version not the original motion picture soundtrack)
c) Wham! Make it Big.
The answer is C. It was Wham! all the way. Never Duran Duran. We did have the Abba album, though. We also had the Grease album by Pickwick with different singers, instead of the Official Grease soundtrack! I couldn’t believe mum bought the unofficial version! Then again, she once asked the shop assistant in HMV for ‘Take on me’ by Hee Haw (A-ha) and ‘Eternal Flame’ by ‘The Bracelets’ (The Bangles) back in the day, so it shouldn’t surprise me.
24. What were the names of the Terrapins Jane and her sister had whilst growing up?
a) Little and Large
b) Seb Coe and Steve Ovett
c) Pepsi and Shirley
The answer is B. Yes, even as a child, I understood irony.
25. What embarrassing situation occurred on Jane and Richard’s wedding night?
a) Jane got locked in the en-suite.
b) The chauffeur in the wedding car got lost on the way to the hotel and Jane had to phone for directions.
c) One of Jane’s ex-boyfriends was staying at the same hotel.
The answer is A!!! To give a bit of background, our wedding night actually was our ‘first time’. I was a bit shy so went to the bathroom to get changed and locked the door out of habit! Obviously, the lock on the bathroom of the bridal suite was bound to be a bit stiff from lack of use! I couldn’t get the darned thing open and started to panic as there were no windows in the room either. I got it open in the end. Phew!
Are you still with me?
Have you got any admissions about the ‘real’ you you’d like to confess or share with the group?
Do you share any of my
eccentricities weirdness traits? As always, I’d love to hear from you.
Pin for later:
Haha, I loved the photos, thanks for sharing! However, I am completely disturbed by your hatred of poached eggs! I love poached eggs and have them most weekends!! You need to get poaching some eggs, pronto! #FridayFrolics
All of those shocking facts and it was the poached eggs that disturbed you?!! Ha Ha! Nope. Not budging. They are a horrible blight on society.
I love this Jane. I am totally with you on number one. I thought it Skegness was in Scotland until we went there about 8 years ago and it wasn’t!!!! Thanks for linking up to #FridayFrolics
I am so glad it isn’t just me, Claire! Thanks so much for hosting!
I love it, great to read a bit more about you jane. There are some crackers in there! Mich x
There are, Mich! Love me, love my ways 😉
I got loads of these right – see I know your weirdnesses well! but girlfriend, your music taste is appalling 😉 And I could’ve guessed you’d be a princess about gravy, no shame in that – I am too! #fortheloveofBLOG
I didn’t say I still liked Michael Bolton and Celine Dion…I do love Dolly though
Lovely post. I like being nosy and reading these sorts of posts. Love your birthday cake xx
Thanks very much, Rachel.
Loved this! Really made me laugh that you got searched because of an apple (and the president comment!) God they’re barmy aren’t they?! Totally with you on the whelks too! Bleugh!! Thanks for sharing this on #fortheloveofBLOG I bet you had a right laugh playing it at your party! x
Hi Fi! It means a lot that you liked it! It was a very scary moment with the apple! I can laugh now but I was freaking out at the time!
So funny. I have to disagree with your music tastes but I’m with you on ýou on the fish and cos being separate to the gravy! #fortheloveofBLOG
In my defense, I’ve ‘grown out’ of Michael and Celine…Not Dolly though 😉
This is brilliant! Love the multiple choice format of the questions! Milton Keynes could easily be a poet’s name. A bad poet, but a poet none the less!
I’m with you on salad cream. Horrible stuff.
Ah, thank you! Yup. Salad cream is evil 😉
What a great fun post. I think we need a photo of the hawaiian shorts! #MarvMondays
Oh Fran, I think back and cringe! They were absolutely awful! As WAS my taste in music…I haven’t listened to Celine or Michael Bolton in years!!
That’s a great way to get to know you a little better. I did the same thing with an apple but in Australia – the sniffer dogs would not leave our bags alone until they had to be searched and pulled out an apple. Whoops. Xx #marvmondays
So great to get to know you a bit more. I think you’ve just helped me grow out of Salad Cream too, the gunk is horrible at the top, I usually don’t look at it. Whelks do not appeal to me in the slightest. #marvmondays
Oh I am absolutely the same with gravy – I like to be able to dip! And Salad Cream is disgusting. I loved this post! Such a fun way to get to know you xx #MarvMondays
Yay! More recruits 😉 Thanks for stopping by, Chantal.
Due to that insightful blog post I have now subscribed to your blog 🙂
Ha! Despite all of the shocking revelations? Thanks so much, Robyn!
Oh my GOD that Beauty and the Beast in the late 80s was amazing, amazing, AMAZING! But you’re the only other person I know that’s ever heard of it. I was only 8-9 when it was on but adored it and still remember the theme tune 🙂 X #MarvMondays
This is a brilliant idea! & love the Skegness confusion!
Thanks so much for joining us on #FridayFrolics. Hope to see you next time
Haha, this is genius! I thought Skegness was in Scotland until I read this post.. ? Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Kaye xo
I am so relieved it isn’t just me, Kaye!
My sister had something like this at her hen do. I got more right than she did. Totally understand Skeg Ness and getting locked in the en suite is something that I am pretty sure has happened to me, not at my wedding though…. #KCACOLS
Thanks for popping over, Fran! Love that you know your sister better than she knows herself!
Love this, I’m sure Richard was getting worried on your wedding night!!! #KCACOLS
Ha! I think there was more ‘eye rolling’ going on than worrying! Thanks for stopping by!
Love this post and the pics! So brave of you to write about of that and so funny too.
It’s crazy what pregnancy does to you and I totally understand that this door had to go. What you can’t take apples in America?! No comment, they have very weird laws over there. I can’t be bothered with a straightener but I also have my must have when I travel; I totally understand the need! Great post, fab idea!!!! #KCACOLS
I want to know what your must haves are now! Thanks for stopping by!
These are fun facts and the quiz about you is such a cool significant birthday idea. I can see how you would think Skegness is in Scotland. But Michael Bolton?? #kcacols
I know! What can I say?! I have moved on though now so please stick with me!!!
I have never heard of the term Whelks. There you go and Happy Birthday! #KCACOLS
Had a good giggle. Love the pics 🙂 #KCACOLS
Hahahaha, loved this! It’s so funny – I was laughing at you being thrown out of the cinema. It must have been talked about for days after! Look at that cake too! Your party must have been a hoot! #KCACOLS
Hello! Lovely to have you pop across and visit. You’re an Aussie? I’m so nosy I need to know where etc. My mum sets off on a 6 week tour and is spending a few weeks there and by best friend (who I havent met yet) is there,
You look so lovely and elegant in your wedding photo! Thanks for sharing. It was fun to read.
Ah, thanks so much Kristen! Thanks for stopping by.
Hahah! What a fun way of doing an about me post! Loved it! x
No shame in loving a bit of Dolly Parton (although I do prefer Whitneys version of I will always love you) 😉 #kcacols
Lol! Fair enough, Tracey 😉 Thanks so much for stopping by!
I loved this! I love how you’ve done it like a quiz and the facts are funny! I’m desperate to know if you’ve been to a Xena convention! #kcacols
Still reeling from the legs but also howling at the first thing Richard said to you – ahahaha Perhaps he was trying the treat them mean keep keen line#KCACOLS
Or treat them mean and deal with the fallout and grumpy, pouty wife!
This is a brilliant idea to mark a special birthday. Your caked looked amazing!
Oh Jane I completely adore this – I love your honesty throughout – just lovely. Super impressed with the gold medal in disco – we need to arrange a night out where we see your moves in action for sure! Oh and your poor love on your wedding night – I could feel your nerves!! #KCACOLS
Aw, thanks so much for your lovely comment, Helen! I am still hoping you’ll come and join us at Blogfest. I will promise to show you my bendy fingers and even do a little dance of glee if you come!
Thanks for sharing, I love finding out random facts about people. Dolly Parton lol (sorry) #KCACOLS
He He. What can I say?!
He He. What can I say?!
This is such a cool idea, love a good quiz! So nice to find out lots of random things about the lady behind the blog x Sunita #KCACOLS
I know what you mean about finding out about people behind blogs. They are some of my favourite types of post too
I can do the bendy finger trick too 😀 #KCACOLS
Ha! I am not alone on my little bendy fingered island! Hoorah!
Love this post… I like how getting to know Jane is revealed through question and answer, just clever! I can’t live without hair straightener too especially going on holiday although sometimes I’m too lazy to do it, lol I love Celine Dion as well, would love to see her in concert in the future. #KCACOLS.
Hi Cheryl. Thanks for stopping by and for your great comment. Yep, sometimes on holiday I’m too lazy for straighteners so I pull my hair back and pop a cap on!!
Aw how sweet was your hubby taking the door off? My sense of smell also went haywire while pregnant, so I can sympathise! #KCACOLS
Sweet and LONG SUFFERING! Thanks for stopping by!
Haha, I always wondered what would happen if I mistakenly took food into the US! #KCACOLS
What a delightful post! So interesting to read about the lady behind the blog.
Ooooh I have already read and commented but just popping back from #KCACOLS to say thanks for hosting xx
Haha this gave me a chuckle. You are not alone with the whole super – smell in pregnancy gig. I have that too and it’s not kind is it. What a great bunch of friends doing that for your 40th. Great fun! #KCACOLS
Glad you liked it and glad I’m not alone with the pregnancy smell thing!
What a great idea for an about me section! Also I’m sure would be great fun at a birthday party and would get lots of laughs! #KCACOLS
It did get lots of laughs and folks and they still seem to have stuck with me, despite my weirdness!
I have that same party trick! My husband hates it! I can’t go anywhere without hair straighteners, mostly because without them in hot weather my hair tends to expand to the size of a large beach ball.
My confession would be:
Did Kirsty stop sucking her thumb at the age
C. Never she is 30 and still does?
The answer is C. I don’t know why I just can’t seem to stop. Maybe I will one day.
Kirsty, thanks for stopping by and also for being prepared to share one of your ‘shocking truths’!
Popping back again for #KCACOLS – Still in love with your cake! xx
Haha love this! There are some great facts here! #KCACOLS
*Ahem* Is Botswana a real place?
Me… circa 5 years ago
I am sorry but I love salad cream lol x
I loved this! Love hearing random facts about people, probably as I’m a bit (well very) nosy! Weirdly I spent years thinking Skegness was in Scotland too, which is totally shameful as I’m actually Scottish!! Ha
*Snort* That is brilliant! I feel much better about the Skegness thing now!
This is just brilliant – you brave lady! It’s so funny reading your honest truths. I read, ‘The Help’ on holiday this year and loved it – I must watch the film. Too many funny points in this post to comment on tbh – love it! Alison x #KCACOLS
Aw, thanks so much, Alison! You’ve made my day with your lovely comment! The movie of the ‘Help’ is absolutely brilliant! You need to watch it and then come back and tell me what you thought of it!!!
OMG, either you are using some very old photos, or you have an excellent skin care regime and good genes because you don’t look anywhere near 40. I am looking at your about me and gravatar photos. I am so jealous. Congratulations. Pen x #KCACOLS
Oh, I love you Pen!! Mwah Mwah! Thanks for your lovely compliment. I am actually going to be 45 this year! Eeks!!! I think Boots Protect and Perfect must be the reason 😉
I loved this – the format was awesome! I’m so with you on Dolly Parton too, I even love her films. 😀 #KCACOLS
Yay, Jess! Another fan!
aw fun post and cute photos! Thanks for cohosting the linky this week #KCACOLS
What a fab idea for a birthday game and what an even better idea for a post! It was funny to read and gave us a bit of an insight to the lady behind the blog. I definitely had a bit of a chuckle at the bedroom door question and getting locked in the hotel en suite, he he! Emily #KCACOLS
hehehe this did make me laugh but great to find out more about you Jane! The paint on the door must have been very powerful – well done to your husband to remove it for the remainder of the pregnancy! #KCACOLS
Brilliant, and if people don’t respect Dolly they are not worth knowing (even if, as myself, it’s a bit of a secret indulgence, I age to pretend to be cool for the children) #KCACOLS
Hahaha I am laughing out loud at Skeg-ness! x #KCACOLS
A great idea and I love hearing about the person behind the blog! 🙂
Ha ha, love this. Very brave putting it on here 😉 I used to love Beauty and the Beast (the newer version made Vincent far too pretty) and Xena Warrior Princess, she knew how to kick some butt! I also used to be able to do the finger thing but can only do it in two fingers now (I just tried it!). Great post x
What a fantastic list. Really made me chuckle and a great idea for a birthday party! #KCACOLS
Haha I absolutely love this! What a great list, and so good to find out more about you. I love the fact you have been to two xena warrior princess conventions. That is amazing! x #kcacols
Thanks very much, Ky! Yes, obviously the Xena thing is a badge of honour.
Great to find out a bit more about you and you look amazing in your wedding photo. I finished my wedding night with a cup of tea and a Kit-Kat.Even worse i got food poisoning on Honeymoon in Thailand and my poor hubby saw things that no man should ever see. #KCACOLS
Thanks for the lovely comment re photo! 18 years ago on Monday! Hard to believe. We got food poisoning on the way back from honeymoon! Yep, did the SICKNESS bit of In ‘Sickness’ and in Health.
I absolutely LOVE this! Thank you so much for posting this. Kept a smile on my face!
Aw, thanks very much for stopping by!
Fab! I can do that finger trick too! Mrs C x #KCACOLS
Thank you for sharing and giving an insight into your life. #KCACOLS
I love this – not your average 25 things you didn’t know about me post! I have one question…the gravy?? I did not see that one coming, I’m an pour it all over everything kinda gal 😉 Thanks for hosting #KCACOLS xx
How could you, Bridie! I thought you were a kindred spirit. You’ve shown your true colours now!!!
19 – I am with you all the way! This causes major arguments in my house. Hubby puts gravy, ketchup, hot sauce, whatever, all over his chips – what?! I’m 100% a dipper
Yay Abi! Dippers rule! It is soooo much more civilised!
Haha, this made me laugh – you’re so brave! I loved reading this, although the downside is that you’ve managed to put me off egg and salad cream sandwiches for life, thanks to your ‘phlegmy’ and ‘snotty’ descriptions…I’m feeling ill just thinking about it now! #KCACOLS
Sorry, not sorry 😉 Thanks so much for your lovely comment!
I love this! And I used to love Celine Dion too! That cake looks amazing though and is making me really crave rolos! #KCACOLS
Aw, thanks very much!
Love the old photos!
Like you, I love “The Help” – i only saw it for the first time quite recently, and I found it so thought-provoking.
Beta Mummy, that film is AWESOME!!!
Step forward the real Jane Taylor. Gosh I’m shocked! Only joking – a great read! Really good idea. #KCACOLS
Will you still have me 😉 ?
Oh I love this post! I too used to (still do!) love Celine, and I’d forgotten about Beauty and the Beast, I really loved that show! #KCACOLS
Can you remember the Beauty and the Beast theme tune, Kerry? And Ron Perlman’s voice over….Her name is Catherine… Thanks for your lovely comment!
I love reading these “shocking” facts about you jane! So nice to know more about you. I love this idea for a birthday quiz. I have to remember it for when my other half turns 40 #KCACOLS
Ah, thanks Geraldine. Hope you weren’t too shocked and will still ‘hang out’ with me 🙂
This is a great post and I was actually trying to see if my fingers could bend at the top joint when I read that yours do…….after bending a bit too much, mine still dont!:)
Careful! I don’t want you hurting yourself! It doesn’t have any practical advantages 😉
Jane this is brilliant, so funny! I think we all know you much better now after reading this! x #KCACOLS
Thanks so much, Madeline, for your really lovely comment. Let’s hope that now you know all of this about me, you’ll stick with me anyway!
Great fun quiz! I must admit that many of my answers would be the same (but we’re a similar age so I guess that’s maybe why?). I’ll happily vote for your blog in the awards. Good luck! #KCACOLS
WOW 18 years! That’s really great. And I love this cheat sheet to get to know you too. Cheers! #KCACOLS
I honestly don’t know where the time has gone!! (Or Richard’s hair!!) Thanks for stopping by!
Funny post with a great title! The bit about your mum changing the bands’ names made me laugh, and getting rid of the bedroom door! Dolly Parton is a pretty amazing woman, but Celine and Michael Bolton? I think they were my most hated singers when I was a teenager! Anyway, it’s a fun birthday idea! #KCACOLS
Very funny and a cool idea, though I don’t think it would be something I’d like about me. Lol. #kcacols
This made me laugh! 🙂 I particular had a laughing fit when reading about eating a nose… :p I laughed so hard and so suddenly that I frightened my husband. :p hahaha
Yay! I love making people laugh! I’m glad it got a good chuckle out of you! Thanks for stopping by!
This is brilliant. It had me laughing but seriously Dolly Parton is amazing, I love her and I think I’d like to go and see her in concert too! #kcacols
Ah, thanks Tracey! Yep, having seen Dolly in concert and she is totally amazing!!!
