Sign-up to NOWTV via Quidco and get paid to watch Sky Movies for 1.5 months with a Sky Movies Pass.
What’s the deal?
Money can be tight at this time of year so I’ve found a nifty way to get instant access to hundreds of great movies with NOWTV’s Sky Movies Month Pass over the Christmas period (and beyond) without it costing you a penny. Better than that, if you sign up for the offer via the cashback website, Quidco, by the end of Saturday 26th December 2015*, you’ll even get paid for it!
Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, here at the Taylor household we have already signed up and have been gorging ourselves on the Star Wars back catalogue and extras, courtesy of Sky Movies‘ dedicated Star Wars channel.
What is NOWTV?
NOWTV offers you an easy way to watch Sky Movies, Sky Sport and thousands of TV programmes instantly on Chromecast, PS4™, PS3™, Xbox One, Xbox®360, Roku, YouView, LG Smart TV, PC or Mac, Mobile, Tablet and more.
The great thing about NOWTV is there’s no contract so you can cancel your subscription at any time. What’s more, you won’t have to fight over the remote because you can register up to four devices and watch on two at the same time.
If you don’t have a compatible device, you can also buy a NOWTV box for a one-off payment of £14.99. All you have to do is plug it in, connect to broadband and start watching your favourite shows. Plus, with the NOWTV box you can enjoy catch up TV from BBC iPlayer, All 4 and more.
So how can you get access to all of this fantastic content without paying a penny for it this Christmas?
NOWTV are offering new customers a 14 day FREE trial which includes the Sky Movies Pass with access to more than 1,000 movies and the Entertainment Pass which offers a huge range of fantastic TV shows. Then the Sky Movies keep rolling at just £9.99 a month (the Sky Sports Pass and the Entertainment Pass cost £6.99 per month each).
But before you head across to NOWTV and take advantage of this deal, I’ve found a way to sweeten it. If you login/register with Quidco this week, the cashback website, and visit NOWTV via their website, as well as benefiting from 14 days of fantastic movies and TV shows you can get £12 cashback if you pay £9.99 for your first month after the free trial ends. That means you will end up being £2 in credit! All you have to do is remember to cancel your subscription after you’ve paid for your first month if you don’t want to continue with the service. Visit Quidco to find out more.
What is a cashback website?
Cashback websites can help you to earn money when you shop for a range of products and services. For the uninitiated, each time you buy from a retailer via a cashback website, they are given a percentage of the sale, which they pass on to you. Quidco gives 100% of the commission they earned from the sale back to you. Another cashback website I can highly recommend is TopCashback, which can offer up to 105% commission to members.
Just a few things to bear in mind. If you use a cashback website you need to ensure that your cookies are enabled as it works by tracking your visit to NOWTV to confirm your cashback. Also, it can sometimes take up to 3 months before your cashback is paid. Most importantly, because there can sometimes be problems with tracking or occasional disputes with retailers, you should treat your cashback as a bonus, not a guarantee.
So there you go! One and a half months of Sky Movies for better than nothing! But hurry because Quidco state that the £12* cashback offer will expire by end of this week.
*UPDATE: The £12 cashback rate is back and has been extended until 10th January 2016.
