Groupon gift guides: Great ideas for last minute Christmas gifts in a click!
Arghhhhh! Only 3 sleeps ’til Christmas! Carols are being sung, mince pies eaten and if you’re anything like me, you’re still struggling to come up with gift ideas for some of the more difficult to buy for members of your family (Mr T!). Thankfully, Groupon has got it covered, with gift guides for Him, Her and everyone else, for that matter.
The great thing about buying your gifts from Groupon is you don’t even have to leave the cosy comfort of your home and face the crowds on the high street. Instead, you can pop the kettle on, pull up a chair, and check out the huge range of gifts and experiences, available locally and nationally, at the click of a button. Plus, with Groupon, you have access to exclusive deals and reductions on everything from tech to training courses, Sunday lunch to spa breaks, furniture to fashion.
Buying Christmas gifts for Mr ‘T for Tricky’.
I’ve been trying to come up with great gift ideas for Mr T. Unfortunately, rather than make good progress its one step forward and two steps back.
Mr T asked for a John Lewis Cashmere jumper to add to his collection. Stuck for ideas, I happily agreed. He loves cashmere jumpers because they’re nice and thin, yet super warm and comfy. Unfortunately, my delight at having finally bought Mr T a Christmas present was short-lived. I shrunk another of his cashmere jumpers in the washing machine last night, (It was hidden amongst the ‘colourfast cotton’ in the wash basket)! Unbelievable! On the bright side, it means youngest’s Build-a-Bear will be dressed to impress this Christmas!
Me and Mr T are usually very good at buying gifts for each other. We know what we both like and we often have to warn each other off buying things for ourselves in the run-up to Christmas in case we buy the very things we’ll receive as gifts on Christmas day.
This year is different.
This year I’m struggling to come up with gift ideas: neither of us really need or want for anything, (which we feel very grateful about). Plus we’ve had some big expenses recently, having swapped our car and paid for a big family holiday next year to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary.
Groupon: gifts and experiences on your doorstep.
Whilst looking for gift ideas for Mr T, I turned my attention to Groupon, because it offers experiences as well as gifts and I liked the idea of treating him to something a little bit different this Christmas. As well as offering a huge range of gift ideas and experiences across the UK, the great thing about Groupon is it tailors the search results to match your location so you can browse dozens of deals at hotels, restaurants, businesses, shops and venues on your doorstep.
I’ve been a Groupon customer for a number of years. The idea of using the collective bargaining of its customers to secure great deals with retailers is a clever one. Since joining I’ve bought cut-price golf experiences for Mr T and bargain spa breaks and online courses for myself and my friends, among other things.
Groupon Gift Guide.
Groupon’s revamped gift guides certainly make things easy when it comes to finding gifts for friends and family. You’ll find gift guides for Him, Her and Couples. There are gift guides for birthdays and Christmas. You can even browse through ideas and inspiration for last-minute Christmas gifts and affordable gifts.
My top 3 gift ideas for Mr T.
I found some great Christmas gift ideas for Mr T on Groupon’s Gifts for Him page on their website. Here are my top 3 choices – but I’m not going to tell you which one I’ve chosen, in case he reads this post!
1. Supercar Experience for One at Driving Experiences 4 U from £39.
Here’s a gift experience that’s perfect for Mr T. Instead of watching Jeremy Clarkson et al roaring around a test track in the latest supercar, he’ll be the one behind the wheel of a supercar with Driving Experiences 4 U. For only £39 he’ll get 3 laps of our local race track, Donington Park, in either a Ferrari 360 F1, Aston Martin DB9, Lamborghini, Nissan GTR, Jaguar, Audi R8 or Ariel. Vrooooooommmmm!
2. PGA Golf Lessons With Optional Nine Holes of Golf at Ruddington Grange (Up to 60% Off)
Mr T loves playing golf, but he’s been so busy this year, he hasn’t had much time to fit in a round or two of gold at his favourite local golf clubs. This golf experience will help to treat his withdrawal symptoms. For only £29, he’ll get a golf lesson with a PGA professional and nine holes of golf for two people at Ruddington Grange Golf Club.
3. Steak Meal with a Bottle of Wine for Two or Four at Scalford Hall Hotel, Melton Mowbray (Up to 51% Off)
This is probably my favourite gift idea because it’s a gift we can share…Unless Mr T was planning on taking someone else as his plus one! It ticks plenty of boxes because he loves steak, we like trying out new places to eat and we haven’t had a proper date night in aaaaaggggeeesss. Plus, at £25 for a steak meal with a bottle wine for two at a restaurant with lots of great reviews, it’s great value too.
