I’m featured in ‘My Home Rocks’ over at ‘A Residence’ blog.
Whoop Whoop!
Penny Alexander thinks ‘My Home Rocks’! It features on ‘A Residence’ blog this month, which she writes for the online furniture and home retailer, Wayfair.
Penny Alexander is a fellow Nottingham blogger, who, like many of the Nottingham blogging crowd, has been so supportive of newbies like me.

Penny Alexander, Nottingham blogger, blogging at Parentshaped, Space in your case, Wayfair’s ‘A Residence’ blog.
As well as her Wayfair blog, Penny has her own award-winning blog, Parentshaped, and the collaborative travel blog, Space in your case.
When I started reading blogs, Penny’s Parentshaped blog was one of the first I discovered and it soon became a firm favourite, (I mentioned it in one of my earlier posts, The BiBs Shortlist: The Perfect Reading List).
Parentshaped swept me along on Penny’s adventures in life, travel and parenting. There’s just something about Penny’s writing that draws you in: she writes from the heart. I love her perspective on life.
‘A Residence’ blog.
In 2014, Penny’s ‘A Residence’ blog was born, a collaborative blog with the online home retailer, Wayfair. A Residence weaves Penny Alexander’s personal blog with everything home and garden from Wayfair UK. It’s a unique way to explore what really makes a house a home.
Fast forward a few years and ‘A Residence’ is a highly respected, award-winning blog, earning a nomination for ‘Best Organisation Blog’ (ie. interior blogs that are part of a company, business or enterprise) in the Amara Interior Blog Awards 2016. Vote for it: HERE.
There’s plenty of lovely stuff to read at ‘A Residence’ blog, with topics including home, lifestyle, creativity, gardening and travel. There are also a number of regular features including ‘My Home Rocks’.
The ‘My Home Rocks’ series takes a peek into the homes of designers and bloggers. Some fabulous homes have been featured in the past, including the home of one of my favourite interior design bloggers, Karen Knox, over at Making Spaces.
If you haven’t checked out Karen’s interior design blog then you really must go and have a nosey around. It’s a feast of fabulous photographs and original design ideas.
Karen’s design sense is unique: I love how daring and bold it is. I love some of the incredible home makeover’s she’s done for her clients. My absolute favourite being the Magnetic Wall Playroom: HERE.
Karen’s blog has introduced me to some wonderful artists too, namely Mike Matola and Jenni Sparks, who I’ve featured in my earlier posts.
Like Penny, Karen’s blog has also been nominated for an Amara Interior Blog Award this year in the Best Newcomer category. Vote for Making Spaces: HERE.
My Home Rocks
