My mum.
What’s my mum like?
Mother’s Day gifts for Fashionistas.
With so many lovely gifts for fashion-loving mums on the John Lewis website, it was hard to choose. In the end, three gorgeous gifts found their way into my mum’s personalised John Lewis Mother’s Day hamper:
1. John Lewis Contrast Leather Zip Around Purse, Silver / Navy, £39.
Bling needn’t be the preserve of the younger generation. To quote Beyonce’s lesser known single, ‘If mum likes it, then she must’ve found some bling on it.’ This stylish silver John Lewis Contrast Leather Zip Around Purse is sure to add a touch of bling to mum’s hamper. The distinctive silver leather finish oozes style and glamour. Open it up and there’s a beautiful, contrasting dark navy interior, with plenty of space for cards, receipts and a zipped compartment for coins. There’s even room for her smartphone.
2. Thomas Sabo Charm Club Bracelet, Silver, Medium/Large £60-£70.
My mum was wearing charm bracelets before Pandora was born! In fact, Pandora probably entered the world to the sound of my mum’s charm bracelet jangling. Ask our girls which item of jewellery they associate with Grandma ‘Spikes’ and they’ll say ‘her gold charm bracelet’ (or possibly her hoop earrings!)
This sterling silver polished link Thomas Sabo Charm Club Bracelet with its lobster clasp and brand-engraved round charm is the perfect gift for my mum, offering a stylish, yet modern take on the traditional charm bracelet. Plus, with so many stunning charms to choose from in the Charm Club Collection, I’ll be spoilt for choice when Mother’s Day comes around again.
3. Stackers Mini Jewellery Box Lid, Duck Egg, £18.
My mum loves jewellery, but she’s rapidly running out of storage space for her favourite pieces. Thankfully, this Stackers Mini jewellery box lid in duck egg blue is the perfect starter kit for ‘Jewellery Junkies’ like my mum. Stackers jewellery boxes are highly customisable, with the option to add further ‘stacks’ to cater for expanding jewellery collections. When mum runs out of space, she can mix and match additional Stacker boxes of the same size, depending on her requirements.
Stackers are available in a wide range of depths, colours, lining materials, sizes and interior configurations.

Over to you.
I hope the idea of a personalised Mother’s Day hamper has inspired you. The great news is, even if you’ve got a small budget, creating a selection box of gifts to suit your ‘type’ of mum doesn’t need to be expensive. You may have a suitable box, wicker basket or hamper at home. Alternatively, you can buy a nice box or basket fairly cheaply from a charity shop or pound store. Plus, you can always make some of the gifts yourself like jam, fudge or homemade biscuits, or give your mum a family photograph or an IOU for a trip out together.
What kind of mum do you have? Does she love fashion, travelling or is she a home lover? What’s your idea of the perfect Mother’s Day gift (giving or receiving)? As always, I’d love to hear from you.
This is a collaborative post. As always the words and opinions are my own honest assessment.
