Want to ‘Be Better With Your Cash’? Check out Andy Webb’s Cash Chats Podcast featuring me!
If you’ve been following some of my latest money-saving posts, you’ll know I’ve mentioned Andy Webb, blogger and finance journalist at Be Clever With Your Cash a few times. As well as having his own blog, Andy certainly knows a lot about saving money and personal finance, writing articles for MoneySavingExpert.com, the Money Advice Service and Moneywise magazine (to name but a few). He’s also been invited to share his personal finance expertise on television programmes BBC’s Rip of Britain, BBC Breakfast, Channel 5 News and numerous radio stations.
I like to think I’m thrifty and know a fair bit about money-saving, but I’ve discovered some great tips on Andy’s blog, which he started 3 years ago. In fact, that’s where I first learned about the NUS Card tip, where you can apply for an NUS card if you buy a discounted eCareers online course (HERE).
If you want to save a bit of money or be more financially savvy, there are loads more brilliant tips on the Be Clever With Your Cash website or you can subscribe to his newsletter so you never miss a bargain!
The Cash Chats Podcast Series.
As well as sharing money-saving tips, Andy recently launched his ‘Cash Chat’s Podcast series’, where he chats with other members of the UK Money Bloggers Community about personal finance and money-saving tips. In this weekly podcast, Andy and his guests use articles they’ve written as the starting point to share their experiences with money and tips to help improve people’s finances.
In episode 1 of the Cash Chat’s Podcast (HERE), Andy chatted to bargain-hunter Lotty from Lotty Earns about: Getting a free theatre upgrade; seven things worth paying more for and O2 Priority Moments Loophole.
In episode 2 (HERE), Kalpana Fitzpatrick joined him from Mummy Money Matters to chat about: Eight common energy switching mistakes; How to find a cheap flight; Financial education for kids; Sticking to a budget in Orlando.
My Cash Chat Podcast experience.
Last week, Andy kindly invited me to join him as a guest for episode 3 of his Cash Chat’s podcast. After being on BBC Radio Nottingham a few times, I wasn’t too nervous about taking part, especially as he promised it would be like chatting over a beer or a cuppa. He was right! After a few minor technical hitches and me deciding to ditch my kid’s gaming headphones (!), it didn’t take long for me to forget I was being recorded. In fact, I really enjoyed having a natter with a fellow money-saving enthusiast like Andy.

Over to you.
Do you read any money blogs? If so, which are your favourites? What’s the best tip you ever picked up from a blog? As always, I’d love to hear from you.
