Christmas food coma and Stanley Sortmaster Organisers
Merry Christmas to you all!
Can I just say for the record…I absolutely love making the Christmas dinner! Don’t get me wrong, I’m no chef, but after years of trying to get it right and some disasters along the way, I have finally ‘found my groove.’ I even managed to ditch Aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire Puddings in recent years thanks to my marvellous stoneware Muffin/Yorkshire pudding pan that I purchased at a Pampered Chef party. At last I can make my own without them looking like limp, soggy frisbees of congealed batter.
So we shared gifts, went to church, opened the door to our house to be greeted by the smell of turkey because the timer on my new oven worked, (hurray!) and ate until we couldn’t squeeze in another mouthful…So, yes, ‘food coma’ is an appropriate term for our condition as we watched the Queen on TV. I hope she won’t be offended that we had to ‘V Plus’ her as we missed the first 5 minutes as we were still eating our Christmas Pudding.
Stanley Sortmaster
So, after all of the cooking and putting away, (faithfully assisted by my trusty sidekick, Grandma Spikes), I can finally put my feet up and ‘play with my presents.’ I know a Stanley Sortmaster Organiser (Large size, 44.2cm x 9.2cm x 33.3cm) might not be on every girl’s Christmas wishlist but surprisingly it ended up being on mine as my final choice for a new sewing box. It has been a long and difficult quest and I have wandered numerous aisles searching for the perfect candidate.
Seriously, there are a lot of awful sewing boxes out there! I just can’t bear all of those quilted boxes with rattan handles that the people in ‘Sewing World’ think women want. Instead, I found myself opting for this nifty tool box (sans quilting) costing only £10.99 from Halfords. If you order online they are currently offering 10% off across the site and if you go via Quidco there is 5% cashback today (Christmas Day). This organiser offers great flexibility as it has adjustable internal compartments and what’s more, when my sewing accessories expand (as I am sure they will), additional boxes can be clipped together. Pure organising heaven! See, I wasn’t joking when I said I love organising things so this is the perfect present for me. Thank you, Mr Taylor!
Voila!
Love it!
